King Corn co-producer Curt Ellis writes for Edible Portland this month, telling a story about another farm close to his heart- -his dad’s vegetable garden in Portland, Oregon.
“Dad didn’t enter into our gardening lightly,” Curt writes. “He had his sights set on the 100 quarts of sauce, juice, soup, and whole-peeled fruit we’d be lining up in Kerr jars come fall. We were, as he explained, ‘gardening to win.’”
