Iowa corn farmer and King Corn star Rich Johnson sends good news from Greene today: Rich’s youngest son Addy has won the state’s Meritorious Inventor award for… (drum roll, please)… his very own Get Moving Board Game.
Meant as a dart in the heart of the childhood obesity epidemic, Addy’s game intends to liven up snack time by encouraging kids to skip, hop, and run in place as they move their tiny, handmade frog pieces around the board. Or in Addy’s simpler explanation: it tries to “get more kids jumping around!”
Addy was among 71 students recognized in Iowa, out of more than 30,000 contenders. Read the news here. Then, if you know what’s good for you, go jump around a little.
